Everblue designs and builds ecommerce websites on Shopify for online shops in Dublin and across Ireland, as well as in the UK and the US. We plan each store around how your customers look for what you sell, then build the collections, product pages, checkout and shipping rules to suit. SEO structure goes in during the build, so your product and category pages are ready for Google to find from the start.
Our team of designers, developers and marketers, led by James, handles the design, the build and any move from your old platform. Most of the shops in our case studies sell food and drink, so we're used to subscriptions, mixed boxes and shipping rules for perishable goods.
Shopify in Ireland: when it's the right platform, and when WooCommerce is
For most Irish shops selling physical products, Shopify is the right choice. Shopify looks after the hosting, security updates and payments, so your team can run the store day to day without a developer. You also don't have to worry about your own server keeping up during busy periods.
WooCommerce makes more sense when you already have a WordPress site you want to keep. It also suits shops that need something a standard storefront doesn't do, such as a catalogue that takes enquiries instead of payments. We'll tell you which suits your shop on your free audit call, and our Shopify vs WooCommerce guide sets out the trade-offs in more detail.
Who this is for, and when we'd suggest something else
A good fit if
- You sell physical products and want more of your sales to happen online, without customers having to email or call you first.
- Your current store is slow, hard to manage or can't do what you need, such as subscriptions, bundles or trade orders.
- You're on WooCommerce, an old custom build or another platform and want to move to Shopify without losing orders or customer accounts.
When we'd point you elsewhere
- If you're just starting out with a handful of products, a standard Shopify theme you set up yourself may be all you need for now, and we'll tell you so.
- If your customers enquire rather than buy, as with a product catalogue and quote forms, a standard website usually suits better than a full online shop.
Shopify stores built around your products
Bundles and subscriptions
Customers can build their own bundle and subscribe to regular deliveries in a few clicks. It's how Savor by Suzie, with fewer than ten products, makes a small range go further and gets repeat orders.
Retail and wholesale in one store
Trade customers can place bulk orders in the same store as your retail shoppers, so both kinds of order are managed in one place. Cambridge House's partners now order online instead of by email and phone, with shipping set by delivery zone for perishable food.
Mixed boxes that price themselves
For The Wine Engine's wine club, we built a basket that counts the bottles in a mixed case and applies the right saving by itself. Customers don't need a discount code, and they can switch between a one-off order and a monthly box.
A checkout built for phones
Most of Auria's customers shop on their phones, so we cut her checkout from four steps to two and added guest checkout. Within two months of launch, the conversion rate had nearly tripled.
Moving your shop to Shopify
We carry your products, customer accounts and past orders across from the old platform. Every old page address is redirected to its new one, so returning customers land on the right page and the search visibility your shop has built up is protected.
Selling more after launch
Once the shop is live, we can run the SEO, Google Ads management and email marketing around it. We ran all three for Netcrisps, where more than 45% of customers come back to buy again.
What happens, step by step
Discovery
We look at your products, how customers choose them, how you ship and what your current store can't do, then agree what the new one needs.
Store plan
You get a plan for the collections, product pages, checkout and apps, so you can see how the shop will work before design starts.
Design
We design the key pages, from the home page to the product page and basket, and work through your feedback with you before anything is built.
Build and migration
We build the store, set up payments and shipping, and carry your products, customer accounts and past orders across from the old platform.
Test and launch
We test browsing, checkout and order emails on phones and desktops, redirect your old page addresses at launch and show your team how to run the shop.

Ecommerce web design questions
If your question isn't answered here, email [email protected] and we'll get back to you.
How much does an ecommerce website cost?
It depends on how many products you sell, what the shop needs to do, such as subscriptions, trade orders or custom shipping rules, and whether we're moving an existing store. We'll quote once we understand what the shop has to handle. For typical market prices, see our guide to how much an ecommerce website costs in Ireland.
Can you add a shop to our existing WordPress site?
Sometimes that's the better route. If your WordPress site works well and the shop is a small part of the business, adding WooCommerce to it can be simpler than starting again. If selling online is the main business, a Shopify store is usually easier to run and grow, and we'll explain which we'd recommend and why.
Can you move our shop to Shopify without losing orders or rankings?
Yes. We carry your products, customer accounts and past orders across, and redirect every old product and category address to its new one, which protects the search visibility your shop has built up. Cambridge House's customers kept their accounts and thousands of past orders through the move, and Auria's store came across from WooCommerce with every record intact.
Do you build shops for businesses outside Ireland?
Yes. We've built stores for Crispy Green in New Jersey, Auria's Malaysian Kitchen in New York, Cambridge House in California and Savor by Suzie, which sells across the US. In the UK, we built the basket behind The Wine Engine's wine club. Alongside our head office in Cavan, we have offices in New York and Liverpool.
Will we be able to run the shop ourselves?
Yes. Shopify is made for shop owners to manage, and before handover we show your team how to add products, change prices and deal with orders. Cambridge House's team has run their store themselves from day one, and The Wine Engine's founder still edits his own site.
