Online store design, SEO and paid ads for an Irish snack business that now ships worldwide

Netcrisps project by Everblue Digital

Where it started

When Martin came to us, Netcrisps was a wholesale crisp business he ran from his back garden. He bought boxes of hard-to-find Irish and international snacks and sold them on through word of mouth and local trade, with no website, brand or way to reach customers directly. He had products people wanted but no way to sell them beyond the people he already knew. The store, the marketing and a way to win new customers all had to be built from scratch.

What we did and why

A store organised the way snack buyers browse

Our ecommerce website design covered Martin's whole range, organised into custom categories because people shop for snacks by need or by memory as often as by brand. Whether a customer wants gluten-free crisps, an Irish brand they grew up with or an international snack they can't find locally, the categories take them straight there.

SEO before scaling the ads

We started with SEO, matching niche products to the searches people make, because hard-to-find snacks are exactly what people look up by name. That built organic traffic from nothing, and the store now competes for searches like "irish crisps" and "gluten free crisps".

Scaling the ads on the strength of repeat orders

Because so many customers came back to order again, each new one was worth more than their first basket, which made it worth paying to find them. Paid advertising was where we scaled, with campaigns across Google, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, each aimed at a different group of snack buyers. Google Ads delivered a consistent, profitable return, and Meta Ads a strong return that held up as spend increased.

Email that brings buyers back

Email marketing kept customers ordering without paying for another ad. We built a list of 15,000 to 20,000 subscribers and sent campaigns every few days, alongside automated emails for abandoned baskets, product launches, seasonal promotions and lapsed customers. We also ran Netcrisps' social media alongside the store, so all of its food and beverage marketing came from one team.

What changed

Netcrisps now ships to customers across Ireland, the UK, the US, Australia, mainland Europe, Asia and South America. More than 45% of customers come back to buy again, helped by Martin's own service, which is highly rated on Trustpilot.

What this means for your business

If your customers come back to buy again, you can afford to pay more to win each new one, so paid ads stay affordable as you scale. Matching niche products to the searches people already make builds organic traffic that grows steadily over time. Regular email turns one-time buyers into repeat customers, and every repeat order is one you didn't pay an ad to win.
