E-commerce web design, SEO and ads for an Irish confectionery business that had never sold online
Party Sweets had never sold online, so we built a Shopify store with around 350 products and ran the SEO, social media and ads around it.
Where it started
Before Party Sweets came to us, every sale happened offline, because the business had no website at all. Anyone in Ireland looking to buy sweets online found major brands and established wholesalers instead, and the same names filled the social feeds. Party Sweets needed a store that could hold its own against bigger names, and food and beverage marketing that would put it in front of people ready to buy.
What we did and why
A store organised the way people shop for sweets
Our Shopify website design started from scratch, with around 350 products sorted into clear categories so customers can go straight to pick and mix, retro sweets, chocolate or party bags. The design leans into the brand's fun, colourful character, because when people are buying treats, the shop should feel like part of the fun.
SEO built in from day one
Bigger names were already ranking, and adding search later would have meant starting further behind, so we optimised the product pages, category pages and site structure from launch. Over time, Party Sweets began to appear for the searches people make when buying sweets online.
Ads aimed at buyers, with social media alongside
We ran advertising across social and search, built to bring in direct purchases from sweet lovers, gift buyers and party planners around Ireland. Alongside it, we managed Party Sweets' social media to give the brand a voice and a following that kept customers engaged between orders, so the store never had to rely on ads alone.
What changed
Party Sweets now has an online store with a five-figure annual turnover, competing in Ireland's confectionery market, and its paid advertising has delivered a consistent, solid return.
What this means for your business
You don't need a big budget to start selling online, because a well-built store and well-aimed ads can hold their own against established names. In a consumer market, the shop itself should feel like the product. Search and social media keep bringing in customers over time, so less of your growth has to be bought through ads.
