Branding and web design for Queen Spa, a new Letterkenny nail salon that opened with online booking already in place
A new nail salon opened with its brand, a website that takes bookings and gift vouchers through Fresha, and social media already running.
Where it started
The owner of Queen Hand & Foot Spa had secured premises in the Courtyard Shopping Centre in Letterkenny and knew her craft, but the salon had no brand, website or social media before it opened. Letterkenny has no shortage of beauty and nail salons, so a new one had to look established from day one and make booking easy. Otherwise, people would keep going wherever they already went.
What we did and why
A luxury brand carried onto everything the salon needed
Our brand identity design started from scratch, with a logo, colour palette, typography and visual direction that position Queen Spa as a luxury hand and foot care experience. A new salon's brand has to do its convincing before anyone has been through the door. We carried it onto everything the business needed to launch, including banners, service menus, printed materials, stickers and social media templates.
A website that takes bookings as well as showing the treatments
The website keeps the brand's luxury feel but is built to be practical. Service pages lay out the full treatment menu, from manicures, pedicures and nail art to scrubs, masks and massages. We connected the salon's booking system so customers can book an appointment or buy a gift voucher straight from the site, and booking doesn't depend on someone being free to answer the phone.
Social media running from the start
Awareness had to build before the salon opened as well as after, so we set up and managed Queen Spa's social media. We shared its nail art and treatments on Instagram and built a following in Letterkenny.
What changed
The website works as both a shop window and a booking tool, so customers can see the treatments and book in the same visit. With the brand, bookings and social media handled before opening, the owner could concentrate on her clients from the start.
What this means for your business
If you're opening a new business, launching with the brand, website and booking already in place makes you look established from the first day. Letting customers book and buy vouchers online removes a step between wanting an appointment and having one. Using the same design on print, banners and social media makes a new business look consistent wherever people come across it.
